To All Interested Cat Lovers,

The Feline Control Council of Victoria Inc (FCCV) will be celebrating their 50th Year in 2012 and yes, your calculations are correct being 1962 – 2012. What an achievement for the FCCV and all their members past and present.
We have several celebrations planned for 2012 that you will be notified of in due course. On this particular occasion I want to give you the opportunity to attend our May Open Show (May 27th at Aquinas College in Ringwood). You may very well be asking yourself “What’s so special about that”? Well let me tell you it’s not the Venue as much as the International, National and Local Judges who will be judging exhibits in 4 Rings. Now just imagine the atmosphere and the opportunity provided to have your much loved cats and kittens judged by several judges on the day, let alone the number of challenges that 4 Rings will provide. There will even be on-going lucky cage draws and lucky door entry prizes right throughout the day. This will truly be an event to behold.
We should also take time to reflect over the past 50 Years and remember how the FCCV emerged from its conception in 1962 to our present day where the FCCV ranks the Largest Feline Registration Council in Victoria with strong membership; and in Australia is second only to the New South Wales Cat Fanciers Association. Several of our highly trained and experienced judges are well sought after to judge or provide informative seminars throughout the world. We should all be very proud of such a committed organization that is progressively moving forwards into the future.
Now this event will be open to interstate exhibitors to enter and all recognized Cat Councils. This celebratory up-coming event will be well advertised throughout Victoria and beyond with an expected high level of exhibits entered. This prestigious event will be funded by the FCCV however; we want you to have the opportunity to put your mark on such a celebration.
Now don’t just think you will get back to this later as time passes quickly and we all have busy lives. I’m asking you to take the time to mark this Celebratory Event in your calendar, consider sponsoring a “Once in a Lifetime” opportunity to promote your cattery or business on our 50 years Celebration Rosettes (Middle Tails) and most importantly, celebrate with us and join in what will be a very festive occasion.
This is just one of the main celebrations as you will soon be hearing about a “Formal Dinner Dance” like we have not had before. Invitations will be formally sent out to all members and their families, cat lovers, and other recognized Cat Councils throughout Australia so we can all celebrate together. I can tell you now that this event; like the May Show, are events not to be missed.
Due to purchasing high Quality Rosettes from overseas; we will only be providing a short time frame prior to closing sponsorship applications. I am therefore suggesting you return forms to me ASAP as close off date is 17th February (4 Weeks).
