John Sheedy's history displays that we have yet again, a 
Sheedy family member with a mystery past.

Most of John's children's birth certificates show that John
Sheedy was born in London, c1810- 1822, and yet his death
certificate states and one of his children's birth certificate
show he was born in Tipperary.

The children's birth certificates collectively record that John 
and his wife Bridget Ryan married in Brisbane in 1855 and yet 
no marriage can be located in any states of Australia for them,
not under Sheedy/Sheady/Sheehy nor McNamara/Silk etc,
The dates are at such variance on the birth certificates that it i
s unlikely that John's marriage to Bridget was sanctified legally
or alternatively, hehad some reason to hide his marriage place.
(eg..did he in fact marry in Ireland/England?)

John's death certificate states that he spent some 70 years in
in New South Wales and Queensland,which puts his arrival date
around the year 1827, and his death certificate reveals the unusual
information that when John died he was 87yo,6 months and 14 days.
I have only ever found rare instances of specific ages.
Was there some reason the family member or others were counting 
up John's years ?

John Sheedy's shipping arrival to Australia has not yet been
confirmed. His wife Bridget was born in co Cork,and arrived
in Australia around the year 1855 (though the years on her death
certificate states 66 years which makes it around 1857,which is
not possible as their children's births are registered from 1855).

John and his wife worked on several stations around 
Warwick, Allora, Drayton, Toowoomba (Darling Downs) in Queensland.
John died  in Dec 1897 and his wife in 1923.
