John Sheedy & Mary Fogarty

John Sheedy was from the Newport/Killoscully region of Co
Tipperary. His brother James Sheedy went
to Ohio (c1854) another brother Michael Sheedy went to Quebec (1851),
and his brother Martin Sheedy also came to Victoria,Australia in 1841.
John arrived in Melbourne aboard the Theresa with his
wife Mary Fogarty. Also aboard ship was the Cummins family,
Bren Cummins and his wife Margaret Sheedy. The Cummins went
on to become innkeepers and the Ahearn's are relatives of
this family.

Boston Pilot, 1854,his brother John Sheedy was
from the vicinity of Newport,Co Tipp,and emigrated to
Victoria c1840,with his brother Martin Sheedy.
There was another brother Michael, of Killoscully,near
Newport, who landed in June 1851 at Quebec, and was
known to be at Montreal 1851/52.
