Preface by Jenny Fawcett Mary Sheedy, dau of Hannah Sheedy & Thomas Blackburn grandaughter of Michael Sheedy & Mary Walsh niece of Patrick Sheedy & Julia Connory nice of Michael Sheedy & Margaret Gorman arrived New South Wales per Lascar in 1841.age 20, with relatives. The family group consisted of Patrick Sheedy and his wife Julia,nee Connery,and their four children (Marg,Michael,Mary & Cath), and Patrick's brother Michael, and their niece Mary Ann Blackburn, [age 20] and two cousins of Julia's by the name of Margaret Gorman, one of whom was to shortly become the wife of Michael Sheedy. The families took up residence in the Queanbeyan region of New South Wales. Mary had been assigned to a Mr Klensendoriffe at Limestone Plains {Queanbeyan/Canberra} upon her arrival in Australia, as was her cousins Patrick and Michael Sheedy and their families.
