Patrick Sheedy & Bridget Cronin

I am indebted to Jan Lindsay for this family history.

Patrick Sheedy, born c 1815, Lisdovarna, Co Clare, was the son
of John and Hannah Sheedy.

Patrick and his wife, Bridget Cronin, where married in Ireland,
and the death certificate of one of their daughters state that
she (Mary) was born in Innis, co Clare, in c1832,whereas son
John's marriage certificate states he was born in Ennistymon,
Co Clare (c1837), the later is probably nearer the truth as
Mary's death certificate was filled in by a policeman who
attended her inquest, and might not have had accurate information
on the birth place.

Patrick ,wife Bridget, and four children arrived in Australia aboard 
the Agincourt on the 8th of April 1852.

The family first went to Manaroo,in New South Wales. Here two daughters 
were married, and then some of the family went on to Tarrawingee 
near Wangaratta in Victoria.

		George died in 1862,(b1822.Eng) and Mary died 2 years 
		later after "being poisoned by eating berries of a
			     castor oil plant".
